  • H1B Under Process - Flying Domestic

    Hey ,

My H1B recently expired (Oct , 2010) , My employer has applied for an extension in Aug 2010. The extension I think will take another month or so.

I used to travel domestically using my Driver's License (which also expired on Oct , 2010) , and DMV will not issue one till the H1B is approved.

The question that I have is that can I still fly with in USA using my Passport and the original H1B receipt??

    Thanks

    Hi OP,

For flying domestic - they just need the Photo ID for the verification.
So your Passport (if not expired and there is not a drastic change in your appearance as compared to Passport photo) is enough and you can fly within US without any issues

As in some posts - other members have suggested that if you are flying /travelling to Arizona - then carry the H1 Receipt application/and your current I-94.

    thanks and regards,
    abhay
