H4 last name change in appointment confirmation

I got married and someone told us to update the passport with the spouse's last name and they said it will take 10-15 days to update. So, we applied for that.

Then we got the US visa appointment date, we updated the last name with the spouse last name thinking that the new passport might come by then but now we realized that the passport last name change will come after the appointment date. So, we decided not to change anything on the passport but now the CGI profile and the appointment confirmation says the spouse's last name as the last name which is wrong as per the passport. We really don't want to cancel the appointment as dates are really hard to get. Is there a way to update the last name with whatever we have on existing passport?
