Administrative processing in Chennai consulate, No document requested

Hi Everybody,

I attended visa interview on Nov 04, 2010 in chennai consulate. Visa officer asked me show client letter and project documents. I did not have client letter because the project is running from my petitioner's corporate office and I did not have project documents because they are client confidential documents. Then he told me they need administrative processing for my case and issued pink form where no request for any document or information is made. I went to another counter where they retained my passport and returned all petition documents and gave a case id to track. How long should I wait for the result and why are they helding my case if they dont need any information. Please clarify.
