  • Query regarding H4 Visa

    Hi,

    I have a valid H4 visa and is currently in India. My husband who is having H1B and is in US recently changed his job. His H1 transfer is in process and is waiting for approval.My questions are

    1) whether I can travel to US with this H4 visa once his H1 visa transfer got approved? Or do I need to stamp it again?

    2) Our kid who is currently staying with me doesn't have a valid US VISA. Is it ok whether my husband can initiate her VISA processing once he get the H1 transfer approved?

    3) My passport got cancelled which was having the valid VISA while adding the Spouse's name. Is it necessary to stamp the H4 Visa to the new passport?

    Please help me in all these queries.

    Thanks,
    Rekha

    >>> No need for stamping. Once the transfer is approved, you can travel with the transferred petition and your existing visa, which will get you an I-94 same as the transferred petition expiry date.

    >>> Yes.

    >>> NOt required. Carry both the passports when you travel. The visa is the cancelled passport will be still valid.
