Hello,
I have a question about the priority date (PD) of my Green Card application. My 1-140 is approved in 2018.
When GC was applied, my title was different and now if I join a new company with a different title and with higher job responsibilities in the same domain, can they port my GC without filing a new PERM application? Or they have to start a new PERM ?
If the new company start a fresh PERM application on the new title, will I loose my PD ?
Let us assume if my PD is current and iam with a new company on a different title, do I have to revert to the old role/title on which my initial GC was applied to become eligible and apply for the GC ?
Lastly, if i join a new company on a different title, new domain, new responsibilities, I aware that new company has to start a fresh PERM and start from scratch. But even in this case, can I still retain my original (2018) PD even though the new application is different to the old and approved petition ?
Your prompt responses are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Thank you,
