Need urgent help and opinion on this. We had a drobox appointment for my daughter who is recently married last month. We got a drop box appointment for her H4 visa because she has a valid B1/B2 visa. Her husband has got 2 overlapping i-797s, both have validity through future dates; one till 2024 and other one till 2025 (This came from the H1 B amendment and they added 7th year validity also because of approved i140).
in DS160 form of my daughter, we have used the latest i797 receipt number; however during drop box document collection, they took the previous i797 with 2024 date and the corresponding passport visa page of husband. Husband was in India during this time and he travelled back to US yesterday with the 2024 stamp and showed new i797 at POE, they have made the i94 accordingly till 2025
Now, we are getting a query from the VAC for my daughter to submit the principal applicant's latest visa (which is not available as he preferred to travel with active/valid visa stamp ; which the consular officer might not know at the time of review as he is in India; they may be assuming he is also going for stamping ?). How to respond to that query on her H4 now, what documents to be shared ?.
Since this is dropbox, we may not be in a position to explain this to VO . right ?. Please respond
