H4 stamping on i797 with spouse's previous employer

Hi, my spouse recently had to switch jobs twice. My H4 was transferred to first employer but not to his latest employer.
Now my i797 for H4 is with his previous employer with end date of Jun 2025, and his current I797 for H1B with current employer has end date of December 2025.
We want to travel to India and get our visa stamped for H4 and H1B extension, can I apply for H4 visa stamping with my i797 attached to his H1B's previous employer?
