My opt expires on feb 15th 2024, which forbids me from having another attempt at the h1b lottery next year while still being able to legally work in the US for this year. Which makes this attempt my last one.
I want to know if there are any universities or companies that hire for research roles/data science roles that don’t have to go through the h1b lottery process. I am aware most of these positions are for professors, but I will be happy to work for a lower pay with a professor for an RA position however I am also aware that those roles router login are also only offered to graduate students.
Has anyone had any success in finding roles like these? Or know of any ways to approach finding these positions?
