Help: DS160 Should we choose Family Application option

Hi All,
My husband and I are working in the US on separate H1B petitions.
We plan to visit India this December

For my husband its a H1B renewal
I came to US on a H4 and subsequently got a H1B. I need this H1B stamped on passport.

So mine is a change of status while my husband's is not.
I want to know if we can choose Family Option in DS-160.

Also practically if its better to appear to together or separately

Two H1B interviews cannot be combined into a single interview slot. The family option is available only for the primary H1B holder and his/her dependents (H1B + H4). However, you both can book the interview on the same date & probably the same time. But each of you have to take the interview separately.
