  • Homeland Security seal in passport at Port Of Entry

    Hi,

    My wife and I came back to US after vacation from India on 24-JAN-2005. I beleive, a seal of Home Land Security that says arrived into US needs to be placed in the passport during immigration process at the Port Of Entry (EWR in our case). Recently we noticed that the seal is not in our passport, but the "Admitted.... " seal is present in I-94 card. Now, I would like to get the below information:

    1. Do I need to contact local INS office to report the same?
    2. If I go back to India, will we be asked about this by Indian Immigaration authorities?

    Your advice in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Subbu

    Note: The exact format of the seal I mentioned above is:

    U.S. Customs and Border Protection
    NEW xxxx
    <arrival date>

    Admitted__________________
    Until (Class)

    That was not needed in Jan 2005. You don't need to anything. Indian authorities will not question about it.
