L1 to H1 COS - Can i travel to India before approval?

Hi All,
I am in process of getting my L1 changed to H1 on a COS basis. I might have to go back to India within 2 months.

1 -> Is there a requirement of a minimum num of paystubs that i should have from my new H1 employer before i can go to the US consulate in India for H1B stamping?

2 -> what is the earliest i can start work for my H1B employer from the time they apply for a COS. Should it be approved before i start?

3 -> Can i use premium processing for my benefit?

>>> You need to have payslips from day on on H1B status. If you were on H1B status only for 1 month, then just 1 month payslip is enough.

>>> Immediately starting the effective date of COS (Effective date will be in the approval notice).

Should it be approved before i start?
