I am on H1 and spouse is working on H4 EAD. We both have GC EAD approved. My H1 extension is in progress (and so is spouse's H4 and H4 EAD). If we dont get the H4 EAD approved before it expires in 3 months I believe my spouse can switch to using her GC EAD. But if she does that will USCIS cancels her In-progress H4 and H4 EAD? If this happens then how can we ever get spouse's H4 and H4 EAD? Or is there any other way she can continue to work - what I read in some of the blogs that once her H4 gets approved she can exit the country for a short period and reenter on her existing H4 and so gets her I-94 extended in which case she can still work for 540 days after her H4 EAD expires (as her I-94 is extended). Is this true? Please help with your inputs. Many thanks in advance!!
