H1B visa pending

I had been to Kolkata consulate on 6th Dec for visa interview. I had a change of status from F1 to H1B in the US and was here for stamping. But the visa officer kept the case pending for administrative purpose.He offered me a green slip..that required me o submit a write up on my Phd research, CV and job profile..he also said it will take 2weeks to get the visa and it will be sent by post.I have been tracking it but it still shows pending. Is it a cause of concern.

No. Search and read about posts related to "Admin Processing" in immihelp. Lot of people go through this every day. If all documents are fine and if your admin processing goes fine, they will send you the passport back with the stamped visa. However, the time taken to complete the admin process cannot be determined as it is case by case basis.
