  • H-1 Extension

    Hi,

I have a quick question. My present H-1 expires in May next year. My present employer has filed for an extension. ALso I have an offer from another company in the US. Can I leave my present employer when my extension is still under progress?

My New Employer is ready to file a fresh extension for me

    Thanks for your help!

    Vijay

      Thank you!

Thanks Shervin... In that case if my new employer applies for my extension and the previous employer doesnt withdraw that extension in time, wouldnt there be a conflict at the consulate?

Each petition is independent. Your current employer don't need to withdraw the petition for you to file a new one with a different employer. There will be no such conflict.
