Ineligible for 48 month interview waiver but still mistakenly selected dropbox

Hi,

Our H4 visas expired on March 2020, so our drop box eligibility is till March 2024. During the scheduling, when we clicked Interview, we did not want an emergency appointment, and the application process suggested us to use drop box. We got confused because we did not know the dates to be shown in the consulate date availability for Chennai and Hyderabad.

We got May 2024 as appointment, is it possible to cancel the appointment and reuse the payment and reschedule to another date with Interview option. There was a claim receipt option in the application process, will it show up when I cancel the appointment?
