Why doesn't the company want to release the results?

I haven't been able to focus on work at all since Monday. Last week, I thought I would hear back on Monday since it was the official deadline. But now, what's the point? It's already 5 PM here in NYC. I've sent out a bunch of emails, but all I got back from the law firm was that my company needs to review, and my company hasn't said anything.
