Hi, my application got picked up in the H1B lottery and my employer will submit the petition in May. If my application gets approved, can I switch employers before actually beginning to work for my current employer? I believe you can start working on H1B after 1st October. Do I absolutely have to work for the same employer before I'll be eligible to switch to another employer or can I do switch, say in the first week of October before actually officially starting work at my current employer?
