Chances of new H1B stamping at Hyderabad

Hi,

I'm on H4 visa. 13th of this month i have got a H1B approval (I haven't received I-797 yet from employer to apply SSN) and i'm about to go Hyderabad, India (28th Jan) to attend most important family function. I'll be back to US on 13th March.

I’m panic with below questions.

1.How safe to show up in any consulate(In India) with current economic situation
2.Mandatory documents to carry for interview to avoid 221(g)
3.Whatz the success rate in Hyderabad consulate for H4 to New H1B stampings.

Please help me with most appropriate answers...

Dont go - is my verdict

i work full time and went for vacation - i had to go for stamping in Chennai - and it was truly a nightmare - i know a lot of people who are given pink slip for admin processing and from there the downfall starts - unless its something really serious - dont travel
