Recently expired H1B stamp but valid I797 (and I94) - Canada travel

Hey, asking for a friend not on Reddit. H1B expired just last week. Has approved I-797 with a valid I-94 for the next 2 years. A short work trip to Canada for only 5 days next week. Has anyone experienced any issues with CBP under these conditions recently when returning? The friend contacted the lawyers for confirmation, but is just crowdsourcing for others' experiences here on https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/ .

They shouldn't have a problem re-entering the US on Automatic Revalidation.
