  • H4 unable to subit Docs at HYD Consulate

    Hi All,

My wife was previously in US and now she is going for her H4 Renewal(2'nd term 3 years). Her Inteview is on Jan 27th 2011 was unable to submit her documents before the 4 day duration at HYD Consulate for verification.(due to miscalculation of 26Jan holiday). The VFS guy wrote my wife's name in some records and told to bring all the documents on interview date.

    My questions

Will this affect my wife's visa approval?

Can my wife attend the interview with my son who is 6 months old but he does not require a visa bcoz he is US citizen by birth?
Taking my son would effect the stamping in positive or negative manner?

In the last few months I applied for my H1 B transfer to Company B got approval from USCIS but i did not join comapny B and decided to stay with Company A only. Will consulate people ask any thing about this ?
And will that any way effect my wife's H4 renewal?

    Thank in advance
Seniors I need your valuable comments on this.

Each H1b from a company is independent and not a real "transfer". None of the things that you mention impacts the stamping. Your JOB matters the most.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

Your husband doesn't need to have a valid H1B visa for you to get the H4 stamped. He need to have a valid H1B petition though and should be maintaining the H1B status.
