i94 Validity question

I transferred from F1 to H1b status in Oct 2024. My latest I-94 document shows as D/S, when I traveled under F1 status, and my approved I-797A has the I-94 bottom right section as intentionally blank.

Wondering if anyone knows how to check I-94 status in this case or has been in a similar situation. Appreciate any advice?

When you say "My latest I-94 document shows as D/S", I am guessing you are looking at the CBP's I-94 website, and assuming that that is your I-94. The CBP's I-94 website only has I-94s from entry. Since you were approved for Change of Status, you got a new paper I-94 with the approval, and that new I-94 supersedes your previous I-94. The I-94 on the CBP's website is no longer valid. Your new paper I-94 will never show up on the CBP's I-94 website.

Are you sure your approval is an I-797A (and not I-797B)? If so, it should have come with a new I-94 as a detachable part of the page. What exactly is blank?
