h1b used for a year, now on h4 want to start working again

Hello friends,
I need your help with my h1b .
i got my h1b approved in 2007, i worked for a year till oct. 2008. then i transfer my visa from h1b to h4. So currently i am on h4 visa. Now i want to start working again.
but i have some queries:

1. I already have my h1b petition but it was valid till 2010.
so do i need to apply for h1b again or can i use my this petition and just look for the company to hold it?

2. my h1b validation was form oct.2007 to oct.2010
So do in need to renew my h1b?

What will be the procedure to start working again.

Since you already have an approved H1B, you don't fall under the CAP again. The employer who sponsored your H1B or any new employer can file a new H1B petition under the old CAP from the previous petition as a change of status from H4 to H1B. When the COS gets approved, you can start working.

But what about my h1b dates. Do i need to apply for h4-h1b transfer and h1b extension altogether?

Transfer will come with the extension (as requested by the employer).
