H1 Transfer

I am working for company X and have applied for H1 Extn from Company X. Now Company Y has a better offer and I want to apply for H1 Extention and Transfer to Company Y.

Will there be any complexities? Are there any legal issues in doing so?

Please help me if someone has done this.

Did your I-94 expire?

That determines the answer. Search the forum for bridging and read.

My Current I-94 is valid but have already applied for extention from current employer.


Parallely want to apply for Transfer and extension from new employer. Is it ok to that.

If your current I-94 is valid and if you are maintaining the valid H1B status, then you can apply for a transfer to another company. You don't fall under "bridging".
