Has anyone found a US tech job with B1/B2 visa?

I was surprised to know that it’s legal to give interviews on this visa category.

I’m not talking about those who changed their visa status from H1B to B2 etc.

If you applied for B2 visa purely for tourism and then interviewed and actually found a job that sponsored H1b?

I know it’s next to impossible in this market but wondering if someone went via this route?
