How do i file Tax after transfer my H1B Visa?

Hi,

I got one year extension till Dec'2011 of this year. My employer said me that he won't run payroll for one year and suggested to look for another employer. I am on bench since one month.

If I want to change employer:

1.What are the neccessary steps to take with new employer?
2.Can i file Tax through two companies once the change has been done?

>>> There is no such thing as bench when you are in H1B. Yu will employer will need to apy you as long as they hold your H1B.

>>> You will need the latest payslips for a successful H1B transfer. Without the latest payslips you are considered out of status on H1B and the successful transfer rate in such case is very low. Make sure your employer pay you until you apply for the transfer so that you will remain in valid H1B status.

2.Can i file Tax through two companies once the change has been done?
>>> Yes. Each employer that you work for will issue you a W2 by the end of the year. You wil need to file your tax on all those W2's issued to you. Consult a tax specialist for more details.
