H4 visa

Hello all,

I work in India and I got a job in U.S and that company is filing H1B for me.

My question is about filing H4 visa for my wife and kid.

When i contacted the company about filing H4, the admin told me that, no need to apply H4 visa seperately. Once I get H1B visa approved, I need to go to consulate with wife and kid, and they will stamp appropriately. i.e H1B for me, and H4 for my wife and kid.

Just want to clarify this.

That is correct. You will need to select the "Family Option" while booking the visa appointment and need to add your dependent to your application.
