  • H4 kid here

Hey everyone, im a h4 kid (india) whos been living in the us since age 8. I am one of those people at risk of aging out. Currently im a junior in highschool and i'm pretty worried about the future.

I've been scrolling and the internet and seeing how bad the market is for new grads. My parents want me to major in computer science or something in STEM (my dad works at a tech company). is there any hope for someone like me? Im planning to go to college here but is it worth it anymore? it feels very uncertain especially in this climate.

I was also wondering if there are any communities who share the same situation as me, i don't know anyone else who is in my current situation so its hard to gauge 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254

thank you for reading, im hoping someone can shed some light on my situation

    Hi,

You dont need to be disheartened or disappointed. Considering you are high school junior, you still have few years before you age out. I would advise you focus on your studies/SAT and try to get a good university. You always have an option to move to F1 before you age out. You can further plan for Masters on another F1. You never know, the situation may change in next 5 years. Once you have good qualifications, you may have apply for GC through EB1. Otherwise you will have multiple job opportunities in most of the countries. Best of Luck.
