H4 query - work/education/training

Hi,

I am filing H4 for my wife and planning to take appoinment at Chennai consulate.

I need some clarification on Form DS 160 - Present work/education/training information.

She was working in an IT firm in india till DEC 2010 and has 3+ years of experience.

My Concern is since there are lot of rejection for H1, I would like to bring her on H4 and after smooth landing, planning to change her status to H1. So please clarify my doubt

1) In the Present work/education/training information tab (H4) - can I put her primary occupation as - others and in the description column - house wife. If it is ok.. will that affect while changing her visa to H1 (Not sure whether VO will have her record in their database)

2) If its ok to mention her primary occuption as working(Computer science), Then can I put in the description - was working till DEC 2010

Please advise, I heard now a days there are rejections happend for B1 and H4 visa too.. at chennai consulate.

>>> Always give the correct information in DS-160. If the VO figures out that any false information is provided, the applicant can be banned for life from entering U.S.

Entering "house wife" will not have any impact on applying a COS from H4 to H1B later.

This is what i exactly did

my wife entered on H4 and now working on H1B

We did go for stamping in dec 2010 and there was no questions asked for her...

Everyone who got H4 is saying its like a cake-walk.. but its all depends case to case..

Anyways I am crossing my fingure.. till my wife get her H4 stamping.
