I-129 Question

I understand that we need to carry I 797A and I-129 for the visa stamping. My employer has provided me with I 797A and a whole petition that is 1.5 inch thick and is clipped on the top with ACCO fasteners. I-129 is part of this petition but I don’t have copy of just I-129 and its supplement. My question is when they ask for I-129 should I give the whole 1.5 thick petition or should I also copies of just I-129 and its supplement?

Hi OP,

Its advisable that when VO ask for any document/question - it should be to the point (as he/she does not have lot of time for the interview/or search through your documents)
So if VO asks for I-129 - then you should give him/her copy of I-129 only and not the whole petition copy....as whole petition contains lot of things -like your Employer documents , Attorney document , Education evaluation document , your marksheets etc etc...

So just take out the I-129 and H1 supplement from the petiton or take a separate photocopy of the same.

In this way....you will have both things - if asked for whole petiton (give the whole bunch of documents) and if asked for I-129 (just give the same)
