Stamping required?

I have my current visa stamped till May 2010 from my previous employer. I also have my approved I-797 from my current employer valid till 2012.

Do I need to get my visa stamped again using the current employers petition if I travel next month or can I travel back before the expiry of my visa on my current visa?
