H1B Transfer

Can i join the new employer as soon as they post the new petition documents for transfer (Meaning, it hasnt reached the US immigration team or it is still in the process)? Or do i need to wait until i get the application number?

If you are currently in H1 status (with another employer), you will need to wait until your new employer gets petition receipt in order to start working.
