Passport to get back while 221g processing

Hi,
I was given pink slip and passport kept with them at the time of H1B visa stamping. It is almost 8 week by now.

I want to get my passport back, due to some personal reason.
Can I request for a passport with the application is under Administrative processing. Please guide.

Yes. Write a letter to the consulate explaining the reason why you want the passport back. Check with VFS helpdesk for more details.
