My H1B visa bas been expired about 13 months from now. But my I797 is still valid with valid I94. Can I go to any and which Mexico or Canada for renewal or I have to go to India for this?

You don't have to go anywhere for this. Whenever you leave, get the Visa.
If you absolutely want to have it, you can get it done in Canada.This is my opinion and not legal advice. -
Actually I checked with TJ consulate and they said that I can not renew it (renewal has to be within 12 months of expiration) at their consulate. So I was wondering if its same for all consulates or just over there. I need to get my visa renewed for overseas trip for business.Comment
