Hyderabad consulate - 221g yellow form

Hi,

Both myself and my husband went to the H1 visa interview at hyderabad consulate, we were given the yellow 221 g form and asked to submit the petitioner documents to vfs.
Is it possible that we can apply for new h1 b with a new petitioner? If so, while filling the DS 156 form, for the question - has your visa ever been refused? do we have to say "yes" or "no"?

>>> You should answer YES. 221g is considered rejection unless it is cleared later with a successful stamping.

Thanks for your earlier response. We submitted the documents in response to 221g 1 week back. Couple of days back we got an email asking us to submit the passports for further processing. So, we went and submitted. Is this a good sign?

Probably "Yes". The admin processing would have got completed and in most successful cases they will ask for the passport for stamping the visa. In rare cases, where the admin process didn't go well, they will ask the passport to cancel any previous visas issued.

Got Yellow 221G @ Hyderabad

Hi,

i had interviewed @ Hyderabad on 8th April, after few Questions VO had given me Yellow 221g and asked me to submit three doc related to me. i have submitted my Docs on 11th April '11. on 15th April i received a mail saying that please submit your passport for further process. so on 18th April i have submitted my passport. till now i have not received any progress. sent mail on 21st April and they said that the process will take a time.

is anyone face the same issue????
