H1B to Green Card! Advice me.

Hi all seniors,
I am going to apply GC soon, how many months or years take for getting EAD after application accepted of employement based GC Process?
What is the cost for GC (my cousin tole me it will cost 10kUSD and will take 6months stage to apply GC but he don't know , he born here so he dont aware with H1B - GC system, he will help me for maintain H1B status and stay in USA).
Your valueable inputs will help me to draw my career path.

It really depends on which country you are from and which category the GC will fall under.

EB1 - 6 months
EB2 - 1 year - 10 years based on country
EB3 - Before you retire

Don't kidding txh1b? I am from India and Indian citizenship holder, but staying outside from India since last 9years and just 1 time visited India, before that I studied in Canada, UK work in UK and moved USA from UK, but still Indian passport holder, I am Master in IT(UK 2years), 2years PGdiploma in Management (Canada) I dont have PR or citizenship of other country.
in general Information Technology Systems Analyst and Admin fall in which category as I am from India?
