  • F1 to H1B stamping

    Hello all,

    I find this form really helpful as all the users share there experiences and help each other out.

    My h1b got approved in january 2011. i work fulltime in a big reputed company with more than 60000 employees worldwide.

    I graduated in 2008 and was in my opt for 1.5 year in a training through a consulting firm. I got training in field similar to my degree (by the way i am non IT). During my OPT i was not paid and i do not have tax returns for 2009. so my questions are;

    What will I say if the officer asks for w2 for 2009 ? (I have w2's for 2007, 2008 and 2010)

    Is it necessary to get paid in OPT ?

    does anybody have a template for experience letters from previous employers ?

    also I heard that you cannot say to the officer that you were in training in a consultancy. What would be the best possible answer to cover that gap of 1.5 years ?

    Thanks for all the help guys I am going to india in may for stamping and you answers would really help me a ton.

    Best Regards.
