H1B premium processing.....waiting for final decision

I applied for H1B under premium process. Got an RFE for which I replied within the given time.

Now, its been more than 2 weeks and I am still waiting for final decision.
When enquired, came to know that my case is still with immigration officer.

Is it a good sign that they are taking so much time?

What kind of background check they do?

They count their days from the day they take possession of the case and not when courier delivers the package to their address. So there is usually a 1 week lag. But with premium your employer should hear back in another week or so. Keep checking the online status.
