Affidavit of Experiences for H1B Visa Stamping

Hi,

I am travelling to India and i need to attend for VISA Stamping. I have seeen that we need experience letters from previous employers to go for visa stamping, if this is the case, i came out from my previous employers in bad terms and they may not give me experience letters. can i use the notarized affidavit from colleagues of those employers to go for visa stamping, i know that we use this procedure for 140 processing. i would like to know whether any one have gone through the same scenario and handled this properly.
