If w2 was not so good due to global recession before transferring H1 from company A to Comapny B, will it make any difference at the time of stamping?

In other words, company A did not well @ global recession (08,09), does it make any difference even if i transfer my h1b?

If a company was not doing so good, then they should have terminated the employee instead of keeping him/her on payrol and not paying as authorized by DOL while is illegal. There are chances this could lead to issues during a visa interview or while filing the GC. It depends on whether the officer looks into all the W2's or not.

There is an option of complaining to DOL and make the employer pay. A copy of a complaint to DOL will help.
