  • US Visa application- Quashed case/FIR in india

    All,
I have very basic an important question/doubt on filling one of the US application form. This question is asked in many forums but I couldn't see clear answer for the same.

    Question is,
In the application form, there is a question like "Have you even been arrested or Convicted?". What should be filled if a person is arrested and released by High Court(means the Case and FIR are quashed by Highcourt).
My company is processing VISA for one of my team member(He has problem as stated above), he should be travelling to US for urgent requirment. If he convey the fact about the arrest to the people in the company then it will be discussed in the public forum and company may not even process his VISA. If he hide the fact and he is caught in embasy then it will be end of all his US dream.

Please guide us in this. How do we actually proceed in this?

    Thanks
    Chandra

If there was an FIR filed, then that need to be mentioned in DS-160. Any false information in DS-160 can lead to life ban from entering U.S.
