H1 - Re-enter when h1 renewal is filed

I am planning to leave US for a week and re-enter back in July 2011. Meanwhile I also have my H1B renewal applied. Will I have any issues leaving the country when my renewal has been filed and pending. I have a valid visa till Sep2011.

It is never advisable to leave the country when an extension is filed with USCIS. The extension of status might get denied and H1B petition might get approved as consular process. Either come back and file the extension or travel after getting the extension approved. Search for posts that explains why it is not advisable.
