Can I work with just H1 approval on H4 visa

Hi,
I'm applying for H4 visa and If I go to US on H4 and if i'm able to find a job over there then can I start working immediately with just H1 approval ( without stamping) OR should I get my visa stamped and should work?.

If the petition is filed as a COS from H4 to H1B and if it gets approved (The approval notice should come with a new I-94 attached), then you can work as of the effective date of the H1B approval notice. Visa is just an entry document to U.S.
