H4 - H1b - H4

I came to us on H4 in 2007 (My wife is on H1b). I got my H1b approved in 2008. I never travelled to India since 2007. So i didn't get H1b stamping. I didn't work with H1b. My H1b expiring by Sep 2011.

Now I got my H4 renewal until 2014 along with my wife's H1b's approval. So after september 2011 I will be automatically become H4 or I need to legally act something like apply for H1b to H4?

What do you mean by H4 renewal? Did you actually file a COS from H1B to H4 and did it get approved? If you were on H1B status earlier, then how did you convert to H4 without filing a COS or leaving the country and re-entering in H4 visa? Did your H1B petition actually come with a new I-94?

You need to track your I-94's (those issued at POE and those that come at the bottom of approval notices) to determine your exact status. Consult an attorney.
