H4 to H1 transfer process

Hi,
I am in US on H4 visa and I got job in US just few days back. My employer is ready to file my H4 to H1-B1 transfer.
1. Would I able to get SSN on the basis on H1-B transfer case number (WAC,LIN etc) before my H1-B transfer is approved by USCS?
Because I cannot work if I don't have SSN.

1. Would I able to work when my H4 to H1-B transfer is in process (If I can get SSN)?

Hi,

You can not work while you don't have SSN. You should wait till you get your H1b approved and get your SSN to work.
