Salary payment on h1b

Hi,

I am working for a desi consulting firm from past 6 months . I am currently back in india and resigned from my job.

My firm has not payed me for past 2 months stating that the layer company between me and the end client has not paid them . Now that i have resigned, they are not releasing my relieving letter as well. Is there any way for me to get my payments and release letter from my employer?.

Complain to DOL on form WH4 for unpaid wages.
The employer is not required to give any letter. For proving experience for future H1/GC process, it is good to get letters from your colleagues (other employees of the same company), that you were working with them from such and such date and something about the nature of your work.
