H1B (Quick Question)

Friends,

I need one suggestion. Right now i am working on L1B visa in company A.

Company B has filed my H1B and which is active from 1st Oct 2011.

Company B is asking me to join from sept 15,2011.

I just want to check is it fine if i join them on Sept 15,2011 and what is the risk ?

Please suggest.

Why in the world are they asking you to join them when the H1B is effective only from Oct 1st. What they are asking you to do is illegal. If you do that, you will be involved in illegal employment and will go out of status on L1. The you are suppose to maintain the L1 status until the end of September by getting the payslip from the L1 employer until Sept end. You should join the H1B employer starting Oct 1st and you should have payslips from the H1B sponsor to maintain the H1B status.

I will keep that in mind. I will not start on H1B until 1st October and work on
L1B until end of september.
