H1b Approval Explanation

Hi All

Recently , I had my h1b approved for a year. Even though, it is my second H1b Visa. I had a client letter saying that my project will go longer for 3 years.

I want to know , can I ask USCIS for explanation OR can I appeal my case asking USCIS why did they approve for a year.
Please advise me.

First of all you cannot do anything. H1 is employer's petition not yours.
Your employer or their lawyer can certainly appeal or follow other courses like ombundsman if they feel that the term is wrong.

I can talk to my employer / lawyer for this. Can you please give me some idea about this ? I mean what is process OR how to file this. If you are aware of that.
