H1B extension from August'2011 - Site inspections or client inspections
Dudes,
Couple of days back, i had a surprise visitor from US Immigration office, a guy came to my work place and told that he needs to inspect the site and asked me to co-operate. Here are the questions which he asked to me !
1. Where is your drivers license after showing his id to me?
2. who is your employer?
3. what is your employer's address?
4. Show me your working place? (i showed my cube)
5. what is the name of your project manager?
6. who paid for your H1b extension?
7. how many from your employers are working at the current client place? (i said i dont know)
8. what is your residential address? (was different from the one showed in Drivers license - i said i moved to other flat).
9. What is your annual income?
10. Show me your pay slip? (i said since, i haven't expected this unexpected site inspection, i can fax the same to you t'rrow).
11. Do you have per DM in your payslip? (i said no, since i didnot claim it anymore - ask your employer for more details).
12. what is your highest degree of qualification?
13. What is the year of your highest degree duration? ( i did double masters one in INDIA and other in <other country> )
14. Why two masters? why not one? (the second one was to gain international exposure which is always an added advantage to my career).
15. what are the technologies that you are working right now?
16. Since how long you are working with this client (with dates be specific - he knows the dates and the answers for all the questions above.)
Questions to my Project manager
1. Since how long the employee is working with you?
2. what is his pay?
3. what are the technologies he is working on?
Friends, he knows everything but still tests it. If you give convincing answers then thats cool, nothing to worry about these checks, as along as you are prompt and convincing.
