  • H1B approval date or start date on Resume

    Dear all:

I was on H4 for a while and got my H1 approved on March 2011.When H1B approval came, I was out of country and then entered US only in August 2011. Now i have got a new job for which i am planning to jump.

In this case what should i mention in the resume.Like should i mention i was on job from March 2011 or August 2011 when i entered.

If i entered MArch 2011, will this have an impact in H1B processing and also the GC, because the attorney office will collect all the information from the initial period of stay in U.S., the timelines etc....

Which date shall i mention? If i mention March 2011 will it be an issue?

    Your response is highly appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    Vinod

As long as your give the correct information, there will not be any issues. There will be issues only if you were in U.S in H1B status without any payslips which will make you out of status on H1B. Don't give false information and unnecessarily get into trouble.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.
