H4 Interview language at Chennai Consulate

Hi,

I have asked my employer to get a VISA Appointment date for H4 (Dependent Visa) with the Interview language of Telugu in Chennai Consulate.
My employer is an MNC and the appointments are done thru BEP which is ENGLISH only.
So they are asking me to request the Interview language in Consulate at the time of interview.
Not sure do they arrange immediately, or is there any alternative way.
Can any one share the experience.

That is not advisable. Your wife cannot request change in Language. She should book the appointment herself without going through BEP.
